Re: USA citizen
When you become a naturalized citizen of the United States, if your son became a lawful permanent resident while still under age 18 and he remains unmarried on the date of your naturalization, then he should also be able to acquire what's called derivative U.S. citizenship through you. Although you must identify him as your child along with other requested information on your N-400 (application for naturalization), there is no separate application for your son to be completed in order for him to acquire U.S. citizenship in the manner described above.
In other words, whenever you become a naturalized citizen, so will your son without submitting any further paperwork in his behalf to the USCIS.
