Re: vacation

Since your niece is a relative of yours and you are a U.S. citizen, you should be able to sponsor her for a summer visit to the United States.

There are a number of forms which you will need to complete for the B1/B2 visitor visa, beginning with the I-134, (affidavit of support), most of which are directed to the validity of your sponsorship of this relative for he visitor's visa. (You can find these forms online and download them)

Once all the forms have been properly filled out with the required supporting documentation and the visa application is complete, the packet can then be forwarded to your niece's parent or legal guardian and this person can then contact the nearest U.S. consulate to submit the application packet and to arrange for an interview.

If the visa is approved, the consulate in Peru will then issue the visa to your niece for travel to the States. (Depending upon her age, she may require an adult to accompany her which may also necessitate a separate visa for that person.)
