Getting a Visa
I am currently illegal, but want to get a Visa. How do I get legal status?

If you entered the country without inspection(illegally), you must return to your home country(as circumspectly as possible) and apply to the local U.S. consulate office there for a visa for which you may be qualified to receive.
However, if you entered legally and have now overstayed, there may be a way for you to adjust your status without leaving the country, and you should arrange to discuss it with an attorney who is experienced and knowledgeable in such immigration law matters and who should be able to advise as to how you might best proceed under these circumstances.
