car accident

we were hit head on driver crossed mediun into oncoming traffic(us) he was having diabetic incident

totaled our vehicle husband had to be cut out of car large wound on foot many sutures chest bruising

I had two buldging disc soft tissue damage to back chest bruising our daughter was also in the vehicle she had leg and head bruising

the gentleman had very little coverage 25,000. were do we stand in regard to our rights?

you need to be sure that 25 is all the coverage he has (no other seperatley insured cars, no relatives living with him that have seperately insured vehicles)--you also need to check your insurance coverage for you "underinsured limits". If you have 100,000 coverage on your car then your insurance may be on the hook of for the difference (75k). Contact your insurance company--also check on medical payment coverage that you may have with your insurance company.
