Legal Question in Insurance Law in Virginia
Designated Driver Car Accident
John was hanging out with Jane the other night. She was too drunk to drive her car home, so John drove. On the way, he made a turn too soon and hit a sign, causing damage to the car. Jane's insurance has a $1,000 deductible. Who is responsible for paying this deductible - Jane, the drunk owner of the car, or John, the driver?
