Legal Question in Insurance Law in Virginia
dog bite
my father is being sued because his dog bit someone. First of all he has no home owners insurance because he has lost his job and couldnt pay. He an my mother are separated she live in another state. my main question is can they go after property that is jointly owned by my mother and dad?

No, not if your mother and father hold title to the property in a form which the law calls "TENANTS BY THE ENTIRETIES".
