Legal Question in Insurance Law in Virginia

dui

I was charged with a DUI in Indiana. I had an Indiana address at that time in Feb 2008. I have a West Virginia drivers lincense. I am moving to Virginia and will be getting a Virginia drivers lincense. Will the 8 points I got in Indiana show on my WV or VA drivers lincense. How long will the point stay on my record in Indiana? How will this affect my insurance under my Father's name and my ability to drove. My lincense is valid now and I am 32 years old.

Re: dui

Regarding, points on drivers' licenses in Indiana, I have no idea.

As to your assertion that you're going to be getting a Virginia driver's license, I don't think so; not if you were convicted of DUI in Indiana this past February.

The most that you might likely qualify for is a restricted license in Virginia after a hearing on the matter before a judge in the local traffic court.
