Legal Question in Insurance Law in Virginia
Is it legal for an insurance agent to sign you up for virginia auto plan when my driving record is close to flawless? I have been paying thousand of dollars extra because my agent got me the virginia auto plan which is specifically designed for people who can't get voluntary market insurance. After 8 years, I have switched to the voluntary market insurance. Were his actions legal?
1 Answer from Attorneys
Yes, probably, they were(and are) because you apparently failed to exercise
anything approaching due diligence in properly investigating the matter and appear to have been "asleep at the switch" so to speak, for nearly eight years in continuing to rely on this egregiously unreliable agent who likely was more than happy to continue selling you auto insurance out of the high priced SR-22 pool.
