Legal Question in Insurance Law in Virginia
I live in Virginia and I was wondering if I have to have proof of insurence. My father says I don't but I don't think he is right.

If you mean vehicle insurance, the answer is, yes, you must have this insurance
or pay the DMV $500 as a fee for not having such insurance (and which
provides no coverage).
However, if you're referring to medical insurance, the answer apparently is
under "Obamacare", you won't need proof of coverage until 2014.
