Legal Question in Insurance Law in Virginia
Medical Billing
I received a letter from my insurance company stating that they are not paying a medical bill because it was not submitted for over a year. I provided the medical provider with insurance information at the time of treatment and he fails to bill for over a year submits them all at once and now my insurance refuses to pay...what are my options to deal with this situation?

Re: Medical Billing
You could contact your medical provider regarding the situation and explain the obvious reason(s) as to why you feel that you shouldn't now be held responsible for this medical bill, but if the provider refuses to make an adjustment, you'll in all likelihood have to pay it.
