Legal Question in Insurance Law in Virginia
Which state?
I got into a vehicle accident in virginia but I live in New york Does the release of liability form have to pertain to laws in the state in which the accident occurred (Va) or where my residence is(NY)? I am the Releasee.

Generally a release should be the same; if there is a choice of law issue it will have to do with some substantive question and that depends on which state has the strongest connection with the accident. Here it sounds as though Va has the connection.
If there is a lawsuit or was a suit, the Court will usually decide the issue along the way.
