Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia
I have a 10 month contract as a teacher that I will be terminating after 6 months. Private school so either party can terminate without penalty. My salary is annualized over 12 months. I believe I am legally entitled to the 60 percent of my annualized salary (currently I do not receive full pay for 10 months since a portion is deferred to have a summer check). This would include 60 percent of my deferred money for summer pay as well correct? Nothing else is stated on contract stating forfeiture of money or any penalty. Please clarify your understanding from the information provided.

Without reviewing this contract, I couldn't offer an opinion.
