Under 18

I used to work at K-mart and they caught me stealing,the security of k-mart told me I would have pay $110 and i cannot work here anymore but it would not be be in my record,I applied at Circuit city and they sent me a later with my name saying Merchandise theft.My question is under 18 should it be there at all even after there were no criminal charges files or a case against?.

I know of no reason why such information could not be shared among merchants, merely because the subject is under 18 and no criminal charges were apparently filed. This incident apparently involved no criminal adjudication of a juvenile by a court of law which, of course, would've required the record of such to remain under seal but apparently occurred entirely outside the juvenile criminal justice system and therefore would not have the protection of those requirements of confidentiality.
