Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

hello i am 17 and work a part time job. my employer waits till the banks are closed to give us are checks and sometimes even waits till the text day. there has even been times where i was suppost to be paid on friday and i wont get my paycheck until sunday. is this breaking the law?
