Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia
I was accused of drinking on the job. Multiple employees conspired together and reported they smelled alcohol on my breath. This is a total fabrication and I have never ever done that on any job and I'm not even a heavy drinker. I was told I cannot return to work until someone from corporate comes down for a meeting. Im sure they will fire me at that meeting.
I tried to get a blood test immediately but the only available place was the emergency room and they said since it was not an emergency, I probably would not be seen for hours so the test would not prove anything.
The work place has also been made a hostile environment for me for quite some time. Based on this info, do I have any recourse?

Under these facts, probably not (in my opinion)unless you've been working under the protection of a contract of employment or collective bargaining type of agreement.
