Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

Adoption leave

There is a law in Maryland--HB 540--that requires employers to provide paid leave for adoptive parents if they provide it for birth parents. Is there a similar law in Virginia? Also, if I work in Maryland, but the firm is headquartered in VA, does the MD law apply to me?

If you work in Maryland, the law applies to you no matter where the company is headquartered.
