Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia
I'm applying for a job at a community college in Virginia, and need to complete a State Application. One of the questions asks if Ive ever been convicted for any violation(s) of law, including moving traffic violations.
About 7.5 years ago, I received a DUI in Virginia. Otherwise, my record is clean.
Will this isolated incident prevent/hinder me from being hired?

Would likely depend upon the community college; it might hire you irrespective of this Class 1 misdemeanor offense whereas the state police might not
