Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

attendance policies

My employer has an attendance policy that monitors when people are late or leave early. For quite a while I have been late for my shifts. And My boss has been nothing about it, even the the policy calls for verbal warnings, written warnings, ect. Now all of a sudden he wants to follow the policy. Can he do that? or has he set a presance by not correcting it in the past?

Re: attendance policies

Yes, he (your boss) can do that and he is in no way bound by what he may have done(or not done) before.
