Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia
My company is implementing Market Based Compensation (MBC) and my current director role has been downgraded to manager, which feels more like job elimination indicating a severance package would be appropriate. How can I prove that this is a cost cutting tactic so packages do not have to be paid?

So, what if you could prove it by a preponderance of the evidence?
Unless you're working under the protection of a contract of employment which was provably breached by this tactic, the company would still be under no obligation to compensate you for anything extra (in my opinion).
