Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

company relocation law

After six months of employment my company has decided to relocate out of state. The corporate lawyer broke the news. Several of us were hired and there was no mention of relocation at that time. The relocation package offered to us is inadequate for the current economic situation and covers little. It seemed odd that the lawyer broke the news. Is there some legal reason he was chosen? Do we have any rights?

Re: company relocation law

Unless you were working under an employment contract

with a provision governing the issue of relocation, I would say that you're likely without a remedy with respect to this situation.
