Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

Conflict of Interest

I am an employee (recruiter) who has written a book about how to get into my industry. I want to use resumes from people that have applied to my company (who were rejected and were not interviewed or contacted by the company) to market this book to via their address or email. The book will not have my name on it at all, only my publishing company. I feel that there is a conflict of interest, but how bad is it?

Re: Conflict of Interest

Pretty bad,in my opinion. None of these rejected

applicants it would appear have authorized you or

your company to use their employment applications as a marketing tool for a book or any other product produced by either you or your company.
