Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

As a contract employee, can I terminate the contract

Hello,

I am a contract employee of an IT firm. My contract says I have the right to terminate for ''just cause'' with appropriate notice. But the definition of ''just cause'' is in now way spelled out. If I terminate without ''just cause'' the contract says I am liable for a number of potential expenses. So, my question is, what is ''just ccause'' and, assuming I give appropriate notice according to the contract, can I terminate to accept another position?

Thank you

You would be well advised to arrange for a consultation with an attorney knowledgeable in labor/employment law issues who can review the contract in the context of other facts which you may be able to provide that will enable the lawyer to answer your question in a manner that has at least some measure of reliability.
