Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

I am a DJ in Virginia, I have a contract with a lady for her wedding. The contract states that if I cannot make the date due to unforeseen circumstances, either a replacement will be sent or a refund will be given. I set up a replacement and they refused it and wanted their money back. Sense I did set the replacement up and it was refused, does the refund have to be granted?

If the circumstances regarding your nonappearance qualified as unforseen and the replacement that you arranged for would have offered a performance of similar quality as you would've provided for this wedding, I would think not as to the issue of a refund.
