Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia
Employee harrassment
I work for a call center. Over the last several months, I have been called into a manager's office and was told other employees complain that I smell. Then several months later I was accused of playing with myself at my desk. Neither of which are true. When I asked to be transferred from the team I was told I could not be transferred, now the same supervisor is writting me up for giving out an email address. An email that was easily found by doing a basic online search. How can I fight something like this. I was told this is an ''open door'' enviornment, but it seems as if I have a gripe, it's not so open. This is just the tip of the iceberg with this company. The also promised us a raise two months ago which we still have received back pay. I could go on and on, however, I don't have enought characters remaining.

Re: Employee harrassment
Virginia is an employment at will jurisdiction which means that you could probably be fired at any time by your employer for any or all of the items which you've referenced above and that you would have no recourse or remedy against the employer for having done so. (This could also include you're merely having a gripe.)
