Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

employer' breech of confidentiality

I chose to quit my job and gave a resignation letter stating the reasons why, which were reasons based on basically bullying. After she read my letter, she brought me into her office, had another employee come in as well, and read my resignation letter out loud to both of us and discussed this matter with the other employee in the room. Can she do this? Is there a law against her sharing this information? The other employee was a teacher that I worked with, and not from HR.

Re: employer' breech of confidentiality

I am unaware of any law that would prohibit the employer conduct which you've described.
