Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia
If an employer list a holiday as paid in their employee manual and the holiday falls on a weekend, can the employer take that holiday away and not pay the employee or are they to honor it on either the Friday before or Monday after the holiday?

Unless there is an enforceable contract which would require this of the employer,
I would say no (in my opinion). (An employee's manual or handbook rarely amounts to an enforceable contract.)
