Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

Does my employer have the right to make excessive calls to my home

Im am not a salary employee nor do I recieve call pay. My supervisor and the scheduling department call me constantly at home. On average I recieve 7 calls a day from the agency. I have put in writing the days I am available to work outside of my scheduled days. I also put in writing a request that I am called at work if they have would like me to work outside of my scheduled days. The scheduling department continues to call. My supervisor and other supervisors also call my home continuously to ask work related questions that can be taken care of by employees.

I also have put in writing that they can call my home after 11am only in a dire emergency, but they too continue to call. Can they do this? It must be some form of harrassment.

Re: Does my employer have the right to make excessive calls to my home

Employer calls to employees regarding work-related matters are not to my knowledge covered by any federal and/or state laws governing "excessive calling" or the type of calls which you've described.
