Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia
My employer is asking me to sign a document saying that I will stay employed for a year or pay back the cost of a training class that is considered mandatory. I really don�t want to lose my job, but I�m not interested in attending the course. Is this legal?

Yes, it would appear to be (quite legal) in an employment at will jurisidiction such as the Commonwealth (in my opinion).
