Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

Employment

I live in virginia and am currently working for a Automobile Dealership. I was hired monday of this week. On the application I stated that I had a reckless driving ticket and 2 others. They still hired me. They recieved a call from their insurance company stating that they could not cover me, therefore I serve no use to the business. My Problem is the hired me knowing about these tickets and they knew about them three weeks prior to the hire date. My manager said if I can't provide proof that I am covered by my personal insurance through an extended non-owned policy they would terminate me. Is this legal?

Re: Employment

Sure, why wouldn't it be in an employment at will jurisdiction such as the Commonwealth?
