Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

Employment verication & practices woes

My former employer has not filled out an employment verification form sent to him on June 28, 2007. I cannot get a good job because of this. He also has illegal immigrants working for him and also is running Commercial vehicles (dump trucks) that are breaking DOT laws with weight reguirement. Also, the trucks are misregistered so that he can avoid paying proper taxes.

What can I do about all of this?

Re: Employment verication & practices woes

"What can you do about all of this", you ask? How about concentrating on getting the employment verification form filled out and returned to you by following up with a friendly phone call to your former employer and, perhaps, offering to stop by to pick up the completed form (at his convenience, of course)?

I'd let the other items go for the time being since if the employer were to learn of your formal complaints to the proper authorities regarding these various alleged violations, you might not get the employer verification form back properly completed which, obviously, should be priority "A" for you at the moment.
