Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

Fired due to car accident

My neice was fired from a job she had working at amusement facility. She was at a dinner that the company held. After leaving the restaurant she was in an accident where she rear-ended one of the managers. It was a little fender bender and no real damage. She was not in a work vehicle. However, the manager told her she no longer had a job. Also, the owner of the car was put on probation because the manager thought they were dating, when they really are just good friends. Is either one of these situations legal?

Re: Fired due to car accident

Yes, in the right to work jurisdiction of the Commonwealth of Virginia, where winnable wrongful termination suits are a relative rarity, both

of the situations that you have described give no basis whatsoever for legal action against the heartless employer.
