Can I be fired from my job for being sick.

Can I be fired from my job for being sick. I have doctor notes which cover the entire time. My employer is try to get me to resign and said if not they will not allow me to be sick for the whole year upon coming back. I am not completely done with my doctors and will have to have appointments with them what do I do.

Yes, unfortunately, you can be terminated for being absent from your job due to illness unless you're working under the protection of a contract of employment which would prohibit the employer from taking this kind of action against you.
