fired because of speculations that I witnessed a crime.
i did remain silent because i didn't see an offence being made, because my vision was blocked. is that grounds for being fired?

In Virginia, a so-called employment at will jurisdiction, an employee who is not protected from summary dismissal by a contract or collective bargaining type of agreement, can be fired at any time for almost any reason which does not violate federal anti-discrimination laws.
Therefore, the answer to your question must, unfortunately, be in the affirmative.
