Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

Forced from position

I am being forced from my Store Manager position with no poor preformance documentation. I also received my yearly review with a rating that allowed a pay increase. I am unsure what my rights are with-in this circumstance. Due to a significant pay decrease, I will have to end my employment with this company. All of my questions to my bosses have been answered in a vauge skirting the issue way.

Re: Forced from position

Unless your are working under an employment contract which provides protection against the kind of employer action referenced in your question, the answer, unfortunately, must be that your rights are virtually nil with respect to this particular issue.

In the Commonwealth of Virginia, a so-called employment at will jurisdiction, employers have many rights and employees rather few, thanks to the politicians in Richmond who largely control these matters.
