Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

Good afternoon,

I was contracted by Comtron Consultants to work at the World Bank, I worked there for 14 years, recently Bank decided to out-source its IT department, in that process I was laid-off. Now I am out of job because Comtron didn't release me to work for the new company, and also didn't find me a new job. Comtron demanded at least 40,000. to release me, which the new company refuse to pay. What recourse do I have, can I sue Comtron and how.

Best regards,

Jawaid Ayub

The remedies/recourse currently available to you would

appear to depend upon the nature and terms of your original agreement

with Comtron and which are not at all evident from your question.

Therefore, you would seem well advised to schedule an appointment

with an attorney who handles labor and employment law matters

to review this agreement (as well as the relevant facts surrounding its execution) and who then should be able to further advise you on this situation.
