Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

Hiring Relatives

I applied for a part time position with a company that I previously worked 5 years for. The new store manager clearly states that SHE does not hire family members, however this is not a corporate policy with this company. I have recently been notified by employees there that she has hired two different sets of family members. I have filed a complaint with the Corporate Human Resources asking them to investigate this issue. It has now been two weeks since I sent this complaint and I have not heard a response to date. What options do I have to resolve this issue and retain employment?

Thank you

Re: Hiring Relatives

You could certainly follow up your complaint with the company's human resources unit but I know of no particular legal remedy of which you might profitably avail yourself based upon the facts which you have described.
