Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

Does a hospital or company have to provide uniforms if they require a specific kind/ color/ and logan. I have worked for this hospital for 25 yrs. I have recently purchased new uniforms for all seasons, holidays. I'm talking in the last 2 yrs. We have been told that we are all going to have to wear the same scrubs in the next few months. Wouldn't they have to purchase them? Thanks, Don't want to be a clone nurse. J R

The hospital would be required to purchase these uniforms (in my opinion) only

if you were working under a contract or collective bargaining type of agreement

which required them to do so under the circumstances described.
