Hostile work environment involving a firearm

My boyfriend was at work when a co-worker pulled a gun on him, the boss asked him not to press charges if he just fired him. My boyfriend agreed. this past week the boss re-hired the employee that pulled the gun, who can my boyfirend go to, to report this and what is the statue of limitations on reporting this.

This question involves more the area of criminal law rather than employment law.

Your boyfriend can report the incident you've described to local law enforcement authorities in the jurisdiction where it occurred, and, assuming that what occurred is a misdemeanor offense, the statute of limitations would be one year.(Your boyfriend, however, should be prepared to get other work.)
