Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

I was informed I was not being laid off but my duties were being speard amongst other employees. I was offered part time and temp employment at a satellite location 50 miles away. Can I claim unemployment benefits if I don't take the temp work?

If your circumstances are such that you simply cannot do this

kind of commute, and, therefore, have to resign, you may be able to succeed in obtaining UC benefits.

You may, however, want to query VEC for greater certainty in the matter.
