Can a job refuse an emplyee resignation in the state of va?

Of course, a Virginia employer could refuse to accept an employee's tendered resignation(if that is what you mean to ask).
Nevertheless, does that mean that such an employee would be duty bound to stay on the job?
Of course not; such indentured servitude was banned at least some 150 years or so ago with the abolition of slavery
