job terminated
i worked for va tech for 4 years. during this time i had some health problems that caused me to miss a lot of work days. i was on short term disability for 6 months so i could have surgery to fix problem. on the last day of s.t.d. i returnd to work only to find out i could not return with 2 minor restrictions on drs excuse. i had to sign up for long term disability next day but not needing it. i try to return to work 1 week later with all restrictions lifted. my supervisor said i could not return because i went to long term disability which i found out was not true unless my job had been filled or advertised to be filled, which neithe had been done. do you tink i have a case for filing a greviance claim against them? i really liked my job decent pay with benefits. i have a family of three and this has caused a real hardship for me and family.
