Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

I have a labor law issue in the Commonwealth of Virginia. I work at a mental health facility and the staff is paied when they see a client a % of the insurance payment. Some of the staff do not compleat their notes on time. Can admin refuse to pay them if the notes are not done within the 3 day limit set by the insurance company? If the note is not done in the 3 day window the company does not get paid....

Assuming this is a private company, yes, I believe it can refuse to pay the employee for work that was not completed on time and for which the company was not paid

by the insurance company due to this lack of timeliness.
