Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

I was laid off in the state of "Virginia" due to company downsizing. In which, they only needed three empolyees and one supervisior. However, since I have been laid off one fellow co-worker resigned and another was terminated. Do I have any legal ramifications to file a lawsuit for not being recalled? In addition, they have hired another individual who is soon to start.

No, none whatsoever, under the facts described (in my opinion) unless, you

were employed pursuant to an enforceable contract of employment which obligated your employer to recall you to his employ under the circumstances which you've recounted in your question.
