Law for getting Severance pay if laid off

I was wondering if there was anything stated in the Virginia Labor Laws some where that if you are laid off from you job you are to receive some sort of severance package or atleast get your vacation time that you had accrued paid out to you?

Thank you!

No, as far as I am aware, there is no such "parachute" available to the "little guy" apparently such as yourself memorialized in the statutes of the Commonwealth.

As a so-called employment at will jurisdiction, the Commonwealth of Virginia has no requirement that the kinds of compensation which you've mentioned be paid to employees unless such have been guaranteed under a valid and enforceable contract.
