Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

Is there legal action that can take place?
OK so my fiancee has been working at her job for 3 years now. Her other 2 co-workers a year or so. They have told their employer MANY times that something is wrong with the water in the clinic. They tell him it smells funny, it's yellow, and other things about it. He has never tried to get it fixed. My fiancee has been sick alot in the past 3 years. She was diagnosed with this sickness, that one employee was diagnosed with and just today the 2nd one was too. It can be caused by the water. Is there any kind of legal action that can be taken place?

Before considering any legal action, why not first notify the local health department regarding your complaint?
