Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

Is it legal for your employer to require you to bring money into work? I work as a delivery driver and they say I'm required to provide my own change, but I have a daughter on the way and a lot of bills so i don't always have twenty dollars in ones and fives and I'm worried if I don't have it, I might not get to work. It just seems strange to me that your boss can tell you to not spend yout own money.

I know of nothing under Virginia/federal labor laws/regulations that would

necessarily prohibit such an arrangement (in my opinion).
