lost my job

Is it right for my employer to fire me because I cut myself and had to get stitches and because I turned it in they fired me. I have been at this company three and a half months

If by "turned it in", you mean that you filed a claim for workman's compensation and because of that you were fired, such action by an employer is illegal and could provide you with a basis to sue.
