Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia
If a man is told he is not being a good employee, and been denied advancement opportunities because he has childcare responsibilties, does he have any legal recourse? I understand if iit were a woman it would constitute sexual harassment.

If that's all that's allegedly behind the man's supposed failure to be promoted, I would say no (no viable recourse).
