Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

Can a manager require 50 hours a week

I was hired for a job that was for 40 hours a week. My manager recently told me that I now have to work 50 hours a week. I am an exempt, salaried employee, so I don't get overtime. Can he legally require me to work 10 hour days?

Sure, unless you're working pursuant to a valid employment contract which would prohibit it.
