Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

My manager told me to be a team player and take the position of supervisor with keys. Company Code of Ethics says all company standard operating procedures must be followed, at all tmes. S.O.P. for a promotion to key carrier requires 4 week training, interiviews with upper management and signed certification. None of that was done, I was just given keys and alarm codes and codes to the safe, there was no monetary compensation either. I held the position from 10/2010 - 10/2011. This past October he wanted me to be the second lead on overnights and I said I would do it but I wanted to be compensated for it, he said he couldn't do that, so I turned in my keys. He offered me a different position and I said I didn't think I was qualified for do it. Now he is threatenng to write me up for bogus infractions, do I have any recourse?

Hard to say without knowing whether as an employee you're covered by

a contract or collective bargaining type of agreement or at least have

some kind of company grievance procedure in place that would allow you to

contest these proposed allegations of infraction.
